Refund Policy

1. Overview

Budget Rental is an independent third-party car rental booking agency. Refund eligibility depends on the rate type selected at the time of booking, the rental supplier's own refund rules, and how far in advance the cancellation or change is requested. Please review these terms carefully before completing your booking.

2. Administrative Service Fee

All bookings placed through Budget Rental include a non-refundable administrative service fee. This fee covers the cost of booking, agent assistance, and 24/7 customer support. The exact amount is disclosed clearly on the booking confirmation screen before payment is processed.

The administrative service fee is non-refundable under all circumstances, including cancellations, no-shows, and modifications.

3. Refundable Rate Bookings

Bookings made on a refundable rate are eligible for a full refund of the base rental amount (excluding the administrative service fee) provided the cancellation is made within the time window specified in your booking confirmation. Typical refundable cancellation windows are:

• Standard refundable rates: Cancellation must be made at least 24–48 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
• Advance purchase refundable rates: Cancellation must be made at least 72 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
• The exact cancellation deadline is stated in your booking confirmation email.

Refunds on refundable bookings are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card issuer.

4. Non-Refundable Rate Bookings

Bookings made on a non-refundable rate are not eligible for any refund of the base rental amount once payment has been processed. These rates are offered at a lower price in exchange for the non-refundable condition. Budget Rental will clearly mark a rate as non-refundable before you confirm your booking.

In exceptional circumstances (such as a documented medical emergency or bereavement), Budget Rental will use its best efforts to liaise with the rental supplier on your behalf; however, refunds are not guaranteed and remain at the supplier's discretion.

5. No-Show Policy

If you fail to pick up the vehicle at the scheduled time and location without prior notice to Budget Rental, your booking will be treated as a no-show. No-show bookings are not eligible for a refund, regardless of the rate type. If you anticipate being late or are unable to pick up your vehicle, contact us immediately at 1-866-495-1676.

6. Early Return

If you return the rental vehicle earlier than the agreed return date, refunds for unused rental days are subject to the rental supplier's policy and are not guaranteed. Please contact Budget Rental at the time of early return to check whether a partial refund is available.

7. Supplier-Initiated Cancellations

In the rare event that a rental supplier cancels your booking due to vehicle unavailability or other operational reasons, Budget Rental will offer you one of the following remedies:

• A comparable alternative vehicle at the same or lower price.
• A full refund of the base rental amount (the administrative service fee remains non-refundable).

8. How to Request a Refund

• Or email support@budgetrental.org with your booking reference and reason for the refund request.
• Our team will confirm your eligibility and initiate the refund within 1 business day.
• Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
